What is CHECK-UP?

The check-up is a general and substantial health control performed periodically.
It is the entirety of the health scans and checks which aim to detect, in an early stage,  any hidden or concealed disease in a person who does not suffer any health problems or with a diagnosed disease and accordingly ensure the respective measures are taken against. The check-up controls are performed considering the age, gender, surrounding factors and genetic tendency.

Purpose in modern medicine;
to sustain the person in a healthy condition by taking the required measures before the arise of the disease.

Thanks to early diagnosis and treatment, certain health problems, which may be treated with more challenges in developed stages or which can not be treated at all, can be detected and accordingly the life time and quality of the person may be extended.

Why should we have regular check-ups?

The persons with high risk factors, having genetic tendency, inheriting a positive family history should undergo check-up once a year whether they have doubtful complaints or not.

The check-up is not solely performing tests and checks. A substantial physical examination, interpretation of the results and a respective road-map formation are also covered under the check-up process. A person with normal values obtained for each test of check-up may feel lucky indeed however a person with any anomaly detected is much more a luckier since this may mean early detection. Our health is our most valuable thing whereas we should not leave to chance.

As we grow older, the organ functions happen to decline whereas the risks of diseases and cancer then increase. That is, going under check-up is much more important as we are older. The check-up programs may vary considering the age, gender, genetic tendency, life style and health history of the respective person. In the first place, the history of the person shall be listened as followed by a physical examination. Then the doctor shall decide the suitable check-up program for the respective person.

What Should be the Content of the Check-Up Program?

A substantial check-up inclused the blood sugar tests, kidney function tests, liver function and damage tests, electrolytic and mineral count, blood count, blood type establishment, lipid profile detection, tyroid function tests, vitamin measurements, HOMA-IR Index wrks, tumor marker practices, viral marker tests, complete urea checks, search of blood in stools, lung graphy, complete abdomen USG, tyroid USG, breast (mamma)  USG, ECG, effort test, EKO, respiration function test and cervical smear.

Which Additional Examinations and Tests may be Included in the Check-Up?
