Nephrology is a minor area of expertise in the Department of Internal Medicine of the Department. Nephrology department organizes treatments such as hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and renal transplantation in patients (adults 16 years and older) who have kidney effects due to various rheumatic diseases, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, urinary abnormalities (protein leakage in the urine, bleeding, infection), primary renal dysfunctions, cystic kidney diseases, renal disorders such as nephritis or diabetes mellitus related disorders, nephritis, urinary tract infections and their treatment, chronic renal failure.

Blood and urine tests are performed in the light of current guidelines for the diagnosis of hypertension and all kinds of kidney diseases and when it is necessary, kidney biopsies are carried out alongside hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CVVHD (continuous dialysis) treatments and extensive laboratory tests for diagnostic purposes.

In our clinic, appointment is given to our patients who want to be examined and appointment is given primarily to our emergency patients. Patients with trans-disease or kidney transplantation can refer without appointment within working hours.
